Bottle: Classic shape.
Nose: Fresh, sea spray, honey, butterscotch
Palate: Dry and salty with honey, smoke and some Chili powder. Very well balanced. Polished. All the flavours sync nicely together.
Finish: Sour lemon, gentle smoke, a mild chili tickle.
Neat/Ice/Water: It’s perfect as is at 45.8%.
Verdict: Quaffable. Very well made and very elegant. I can’t think of many 10 years olds that are this good. It has a lovely maritime character, as well as wonderful fruity notes that roll around the palate with good length. I’m definitely buying this one again, it could join the Highland Park 12 as a favoured day to day dram. Excellent work.
