Bottle: Standard range Springbank bottle.
Nose: Gentle smoke, cotton candy, leather, rope and some tropical fruits. It’s quite inviting and the aromas are evenly distributed.
Body: Medium and silky.
Palate: Sour apple, sherbet, tropical fruit salad, vanilla cream with some green herbs in the tail. It’s big and bold. I love it’s creaminess. Delectable.
Finish: Quite long and moist. The creaminess remains and coats the palate. Medicinal and a little salty at the end.
Verdict: Superior. This is the sweet spot in the standard Springbank range for me. In terms of what you get for what you pay this is just about perfect. I think I even prefer this to the Springbank 12 cask strength. The creaminess of it, is just superb.
